In these chaotic and wrenching times, those of us who long for a better world are maybe feeling a little parched. Perhaps you, too, are thirsty for living Water. Maybe you suspect, as we do, that we can't see "justice roll down like the waters" unless we ourselves become like artesian wells where living Water springs up, no easy thing amidst so much that drains us dry.

There is a Blue Gold Rush underway, and it is coming for the Source of life itself. For every millennium of human history, Water belonged to everyone and no one. She was the commons, the one thing no king could fence. That is being rewritten right now, reclassified from an inalienable right into a private asset, from the blood of the earth that you belong to, into a commodified "need" that can be metered, priced, and shut off.

WATER is the final frontier of freedom, and the water cartels that want to own your bloodstream are betting you won't notice until the desertification that has encroached on the rest of the world at the hands of privatization reaches your own front door.

Water is not a resource. Water is the Source. And we are the ones she has been waiting for.

We are not people protecting a resource. We are Water, protecting herself. You are a human body of Water living on a planetary body of Water, and the Water inside you is the same as the Water outside you. To guard the Source is Water tending to Water, the oldest sacred duty there is, and in the Age of the Water Bearer it is our most important calling.

Water is the Mother of Peace. Every watershed makes upstream and downstream into one shared bloodstream, whatever imaginary geopolitical borders run between them. Where Water grows scarce the land grows war-torn, and where Water is restored, swords turn back into plowshares and bandits become farmers.

Together we'll trace the whole arc: how Water became blue gold, how the cartel hides behind local names and offshore shells, how scarcity is manufactured because scarcity is profitable, and how Water is turned into a weapon in both obvious wars and silent ones.


Then, most important of all, what you can actually do, and inspiring examples of solutions put into action already around the world.


This NOT about carrying picket signs. The most effective guardianship is quiet, lawful, and local, and you can begin it at home this week.
